Presuming this film sticks fairly close to the origin of the comic books, this will be the story of Princess Diana, heiress to the throne of Paradise Island, a mythical island of amazons. Embued with amazing strength, both of character and physically, she travels into the world of men as Paradise Island's ambassador. Details other than that aren't yet (7/5/01) known. Hopefully, the origin will have more to do with the comic books that have been published for (most of) the last sixty years (since 1941), and not a TV show that ran for only four. Wonder Woman's "rogue gallery" is admittedly weak, so I would guess that Cheetah is probably the top contender to make the leap (haha) to this film. Or, keeping with the Amazon theme, maybe they'd use Artemis (more of an antagonist than a "villain").
