At 4 PM - April 11, 2009 - Walter Dix ran the 100 meter dash in 10.04 seconds into a 1.25 mile an hour wind. It was announced that he broke the world record. The record was set at Mike Long Field at FSU in Tallahassee at the Seminole Invitationals. Dix will be running professional this summer.
