Trina, whose birth name is Katrina Laverne Taylor was born on December 3, 1979, in Miami, Florida. Before Trina became a rapper she used to be a stripper, although it has been reported that she has a college degree and a real estate license. Trina was first heard in the music industry back in 1998 on the album www.thug.com by Trick Daddy. Two years later in March of 2000 she released her debut album Da Baddest Bitch, which featured the hit "Da Baddest Bitch" and "Pull Over." Trina released a new single "Told Y'all" featuring Rick Ross in early of 2002 as part of the All About The Benjamins Soundtrack. In August of 2002 Trina released her second album Diamond Princess, the album included collaborations with artist such as Missy "Misdemeanor" Elliott, Ludacris, Tweet, Fabolous, and Eve. The album's first single "No Panties" send a message to all the men stating that Trina's panties were not coming off unless she would receive money back. Over the next 2 years Trina made guest appearances on other rappers albums and singles, and videos. In the spring of 2004 Trina made some shock waves with the release of her new single "I'm Leaving You (Big Ol' D*ck)". In the song Trina raps about her having sex with other famous male rappers. Trina returned again in 2005 with her new album Glamorest Life scheduled to be released in October.
