An Australian snowboarder, Torah Bright turned pro at age 14. She represented her country at the 2006 Winter Olympics. Her best finishes include 1st place at the 2005 Arctic Challenge and 1st place at the 2005 Nippon Open.
When the best-laid plans of Team Surfing USA went awry at the 3,000-mile Race Across America (RAAM) road cycling relay event last week, the all-star squad's members decided to hang loose and do what they love best: They paddle-surfed to the Statue of Liberty.
