It was a "long and winding road" that brought news anchor Toni Yates to WB17 News at Ten. After graduating from Florida State University with a degree in Journalism, Toni worked as a radio and television news anchor in Florida, Georgia and Virginia before finally putting down roots in the Delaware Valley in the early 1990's. Toni brings a great deal of energy and enthusiasm to her role as co-anchor of Philadelphia's WB17's weekday newscast. That's quite an accomplishment when you consider her busy schedule. In addition to her full time job, Toni cares for her two daughters and son. She also maintains a full schedule of speaking engagements, is a regular panelist at career days for aspiring television journalists, and is active in a mentoring program through her church. Her work on health issues has been honored with a special citation by the Philadelphia Broadcast Pioneers.
