Formed in 1997 in Detroit, The White Stripes are a minimalist rock and roll duo consisting of
Jack White and Meg White. The band hit it big in 2003 with the song "Seven Nation Army" off of their album "Elephant." Other albums include "The White Stripes" (1999), "De Stijl" (2000), "White Blood Cells" (2001) and "Get Behind Me Satan" (2005).
Five new tracks are lined up for next week's Rock Band DLC. The White Stripes will make their Rock Band debut with a three-pack of songs, along with a pair of singles from Kasabian and The Damned.
