Tessa Thompson is an American actress who plays Jackie Cook on Veronica Mars. She joined the cast at the beginning of the show's second season as a main cast member.

Thompson has also guest starred on Cold Case and Grey's Anatomy and was an active member of the Colony Theater of Burbank, California.

Tessa is the daughter of singer-songwriter Marc Anthony Thompson, of the New York based band "Chocolate Genius", and the grand-daughter of actor/musician Bobby Ramos, one of the first Mexican Americans to have his own television show-- "Latin Cruise" for KTLA.
