Terri J. Vaughn is best known for her portrayal as the sassy, outspoken Lovita Alizay Jenkins on the TV series "The Steve Harvey Show." Her other television credits include "Soul Food" and guest appearances in UPN's GIRLFRIENDS, "E.R." and "Living Single."

Vaughn played China in her film debut "Friday," which starred Ice Cube and Chris Tucker. Her film credits also include "Don't Be A Menace To South Central While Drinking Your Juice in the Hood" and "8 Heads in a Duffle Bag."

Vaughn established the non-profit "Take Wings Foundation," which provides scholarships, mentoring and job training opportunities for young women living in public housing in the San Francisco Bay Area.
