Prior to joining E!, Harris served as the weekend cohost for the nationally syndicated entertainment newsmagazine Extra, where she interviewed over 200 celebrities. As a full-time correspondent for the show, Samantha took to the stage performing with Cirque du Soleil, sang a duet with Wayne Newton during his live show in Las Vegas, as well as danced her way into the arms of Patrick Swayze backstage while he performed in Chicago--all for news segments. She also anchored the new, first-ever Las Vegas bureau for Extra.
Samantha's other hosting credits include Fox's The Next Joe Millionaire and AMC Access, a show produced by NBC's Access Hollywood for the AMC channel. Additionally, Samantha also served as a guest host on ABC's The View and a guest correspondent on Good Morning America, also on ABC.
Samantha's talents also extend to the stage and film. Hot off the North American tour Eric Idle Exploits Monty Python (where Samantha's comedic, vocal and dance performance electrified audiences at Carnegie Hall, the Hollywood Bowl and other prestigious venues), CBS cast her as America's sweetheart, "Mary Ann," in its made-for-TV moving Surviving Gilligan's Island. Samantha's other acting credits include: The multi-award-winning Reefer Madness!: The New Hit Musical (original cast); Disney's D3: The Might Ducks and George of the Jungle; the Sally Field-directed Beautiful; and CBS hit drama CSI. Samantha is also featured in the Lorne Michaels-produced Rutles: Evolution television special.
As a model, Samantha is a three-time cover girl for Muscle & Fitness: Hers and has been featured in Men's Fitness, Self and Shape magazines, as well as numerous ads and commercials. As a fitness enthusiast, Samantha also hosts a soon-to-be released infomercial for Crunch Express--an innovative, hot new workout and nutrition video series. Despite her love for dancing, yoga and hiking, she confesses she's a candy lover!
Samantha graduated with honors from Northwestern University's Medill School of Journalism.
