CHIBA (Kyodo) Beijing Olympic silver judo medalist Maki Tsukada beat defending champion Mika Sugimoto in the women's over 78-kg final to claim her first title at the Kodokan Cup national weight-class championships on Saturday. Tsukada, who finished third at the world championships in August, won the match on points at Chiba Port Arena.
