The daughter of a United Nations diplomat, Julia spent the first six years of her life living in Africa. She lived in Zambia, Mozambique, and Swaziland. From Africa, she moved to the United States until the age of 10, then moved with her family to Paris. She returned to the United States three years later to finish high school in Connecticut. Julia attended the University of Pennsylvania and recieved her degree in Diplomatic History.
