Romany Malco Biography
Romany Malco began his career at the age of seven when he picked up a microphone and started rapping, calling himself "Kid Nice." As a teen, he formed the rap group R.M.G. and moved to Los Angeles where Virgin Records signed them to a record deal. They changed their name to College Boyz and their first big hit, "Victim of the Ghetto," went to #1 on the rap charts. Malco made his transition to acting when he was working as a music producer on "The Pest," starring John Leguizamo. The actor, impressed by Malco's gift of gab, encouraged him to pursue acting. His rapping background came in handy when he landed the lead in the VH1 telepic "Too Legit: The MC Hammer Story." Malco starred opposite Steve Carell, Paul Rudd and Catherine Keener in "40 Year-Old Virgin". He also co-starred in the independent film "Churchill: The Hollywood Years" opposite Neve Campbell and Christian Slater. His other feature film credits include "The Tuxedo" opposite Jackie Chan and Jennifer Love Hewitt, "The Prime Gig" and Jesse Peretz's comedy "The Châ´¥au."
