Gomez-Preston moved to Los Angeles at the age of 14 and quickly landed her first job acting in the remake of "Freaky Friday," with Shelley Long.
Gomez-Preston continued her career in television with a regular role on the long-running comedy series "The Parent 'Hood," opposite Robert Townsend. Her other television credits include "ER" and recurring roles on "That '70s Show," "JAG," and UPN's ONE ON ONE.
In film, she has starred in "Never Die Alone," with DMX, David Arquette and Michael Ealy; "Carmen," with Mekhi Phiffer and Mos Def; "Love Don't Cost a Thing," with Nick Cannon; and "Beauty Shop," with Queen Latifah. Her other film credits include "New Jersey Drive," "Crooklyn," "Doing Hard Time" and "Tros' the Escort."
