Director Quentin Tarantino describes to ET the night he approached Brad Pitt about playing a role in his film 'Inglourious Basterds.' Tarantino says that shortly after he finished the script for 'Inglourious Basterds,' he flew to the vineyard in France where Pitt was living, in hopes of persuading the A-list actor to play Lieutenant Aldo Raine in the film. The writer/director says the two talked for hours into the night, popping bottles of Rosé. "We killed five bottles just talking about the film and life," Tarantino tells ET. 'Inglourious Basterds' hits theaters this Friday, but right now Brad Pitt and writer/director Quentin Tarantino are opening up about the highly anticipated WWII drama. "I compare it to working with a Coen brothers' script because the dialogue is so spot on," Pitt says about Tarantino’s writing style. "If you take one step off the trail, you muck up the whole thing."
