Melanie Lynskey first received acclaim for her role in Peter Jackson’s Oscar-nominated "Heavenly Creatures" alongside Kate Winslet. Her other feature film credits include "Sweet Home Alabama", "Snakeskin", "Ever After", "Coyote Ugly", "Detroit Rock City", "But I'm a Cheerleader", "The Cherry Orchard", "Foreign Correspondents", "Abandon", "Shattered Glass", “Park” and Clint Eastwood’s “Flags of Our Fathers”.
Melanie's television credits include the Stephen King miniseries "Rose Red" and the award-winning series "The Shield", as well as CBS’s current primetime hit “Two and a Half Men”.
Lynskey was born in New Zealand (on May 16, 1977) and lives in LA.
