Mary-Louise Parker Biography
Mary-Louise Parker has enjoyed a diverse career in movies, television and on stage. Her performance in "Angels in America" earned her both a Golden Globe? and an Emmy Award. Parker was recently seen on Broadway in Craig Lucas'play Reckless, for which she received a Tony? Award nomination. Previously she starred on Broadway in Proof, for which she received a Tony Award, The Drama Desk, Outer Critics Circle, Drama League and Obie Awards. She was Emmy-nominated for her role as 'Amy Gardner' in "The West Wing" and earlier this year co-starred in Brian Dannelly's dark Christian comedy "Saved!." More recently, Parker was seen in the independent film "The Best Thief in the World" on SHOWTIME, and she will next appear in "Romance & Cigarettes," starring opposite James Gandolfini, Susan Sarandon, Kate Winslet and Mandy Moore. Parker's other film credits include "Fried Green Tomatoes," "Grand Canyon," "Reckless," "Boys on the Side," "The Client," "Naked in New York," "Bullets Over Broadway" and "Longtime Companion."
