With "Dancing with the Stars" entering the semi-finals, Marie Osmond has a few little gifts for the contenders to help lift their spirits. "I picked certain bags for the different people left on 'Dancing with the Stars' — there are three ladies and one guy -- my brother -- and I figured they needed a little pick-me-up [gift]," she tells ET of the uniquely designed, colorful quilted bags from her Marie Lifestyle Collection. "Joanna [Krupa] has just done the cover of Playboy and she’s red hot, so we picked the red color for her," says Marie. Publ.Date : Mon, 16 Nov 2009 19:29:05 -0500
Marie Osmond talks to ET about the loss of Michael Jackson, recounting a special moment between the Osmond family and the Jacksons! Marie spoke candidly about the loss of the King of Pop — and she reveals what part of his public memorial touched her the most. "I think what touched me the most about Michael’s funeral was when his daughter stepped forward and said that he was such a good daddy," Marie says. "The saddest thing to me is that the people that I grew up with in this business, the people that I love, they're gone. I know what loss is, I know what that means to lose your parents. To lose him so young I know is going to be very hard for those kids. So hopefully they have that support that they need to get through this difficult time." ET was exclusively with Marie Osmond as the star revealed her very own fashion doll! Surrounded by fans, Marie unveiled the Grand Finale Fashion Doll at the Flamingo Hotel in Las Vegas. "The last time I was a fashion doll I was about 15 or 16 or something like that, and it was really my daughter’s idea --she's 20, Rachel — to come out with a new Marie fashion doll," Marie tells ET. "And so, she's dressed in the dance outfit I wear at the end of our show here at the Flamingo, and so we're unveiling her tonight." Publ.Date : Tue, 13 Oct 2009 04:22:38 -0400
With the support of her mother in the audience, Mya and partner Dmitry Chaplin were awarded one of the highest honors on "Dancing with the Stars," the first perfect 30 of the season. ET’s special correspondent Marie Osmond spoke with the scoreboard toppers, as well as the four other remaining couples. The Grammy-winner felt like she was living in a dream telling ET, "When you're in rehearsals, yes, you think about a 30, but more importantly, you think about giving a great performance and when a judge named Len [Goodman] comes around and gives you a 10 for the first time, I was going to faint." Calling partner Joanna Krupa "Super Krupa" for her futuristic comic book character inspired outfit, Derek Hough praised her commitment, saying, "A sign of a true champ is somebody that goes through a struggle, doesn't do quite well, but then can pick themselves back up, sink or swim, and she swam, [and] did a great job in the Paso and really proved that she deserves to be here." An emotional Marie Osmond sits down with our own Mary Hart to discuss the difficult financial times her family faced when they were forced to sell everything. And, Marie talks candidly about what it was like growing up in the Osmond family -- including doing household chores! "It was all gone and there was a resentment, part of it by saying, 'everything I suffered, there was no reason for any of it,'" Marie says about her family’s past financial hardships. She tells Mary losing the money was especially hard in light of all that she had sacrificed to work hard, including 18-hour days working, not attending her prom and having "no life" at times. As for growing up being an Osmond, Marie says that despite their success, her and her siblings were not exempt from chores. She says her parents felt that would give them a good work ethic. Marie Osmond is one busy single mom. Between shows with brother Donny Osmond at the Flamingo in Vegas and looking after eight kids, now she's shooting a new commercial for NutriSystem. Is there room for romance? ET's Jann Carl gets the goods behind the scenes! "I was doing 'Dancing with the Stars,' and I guess the press found out I was on NutriSystem, and that's how the whole [commercial] thing happened," explains Marie, who dropped 40 pounds on the plan, with a little help from exercise and, of course, singing and dancing! "Heart disease runs in my family, and I was feeling every symptom, and so it really made me go, 'Okay, how do I do this quick? How do I do this smart? How do I be healthy? I don't want to be skinny, I want to be healthy,'" she continues. "And so I looked at all the options and, actually, I found NutriSystem. They didn't find me." On the eve of a world tour -- -- Europe, Asia and Australia -- to celebrate her brothers' -- THE OSMONDS -- 50th year in the business, MARIE OSMOND sits down with KEVIN FRAZIER to tell him she is at peace -- and that she has lost 45 pounds! "It is not that I am skinny, but it is nice to be back in my jeans," Marie admits. "I feel healthy and my kids are proud of me." The only Osmond sister, Marie reiterates what she told ET early on: She didn't lose the weight to look good, but for health reasons. She lost her father, mother and grandmother to heart disease, and she believes she was a ticking time bomb. Publ.Date : Thu, 10 Apr 2008 03:37:15 -0400

"Dancing with the Stars" is down to the wire with only four celebrities left dancing. ET’s Mary Hart attended the show with friend Marie Osmond, who spoke with the contestants after their performances. "I joke about it but it really was your fault," Donny Osmond tells his sister when she mentions the mistakes he made in the first dance. Donny says he's determined to make it into the top three like Marie did. "That's my main motivation. Put me in the finals so she doesn't throw it in my face for the rest of my life," he jokes with his sister. Kelly Osbourne said she made up part of her rumba dance because she forgot the steps she rehearsed. "I did everything I wanted to do and more." Publ.Date : Tue, 17 Nov 2009 12:44:05 -0500
