She appeared on "American Juniors" in 2003, which was her first appearance in the public spotlight. After the American Juniors band dissolved, Hale focused on acting, which had been a passion of hers for a while. She's had guest roles on shows such as Drake & Josh, Ned's Declassified School Survival Guide, The O.C., and How I Met Your Mother. As well she filmed an ABC pilot for the show Secrets of a Small Town in 2006, a FOX pilot called "The Apostles", and "American Family" which was a pilot for CBS.
Most recently she booked a lead role in "Sisterhood of The Traveling Pants 2". She will play Effie, Lena's little sister. As well, she will appear in a few episodes of the new Disney show "Wizards of Waverly Place" starring David Henrie and Selena Gomez. Hale will also soon be appearing in NBC's re-imaging of the Bionic Woman, playing the younger sister of the title character.
Hale is the youngest of three; her siblings include an older sister, Maggie and a step- brother, Wes. She has a Yorkie named Bentley.
