A: I am interested in music; I have been singing/songwriting for several years and play the guitar and piano. I enjoy swimming, shopping, and modeling, but I love performing in front of large crowds the most. I also enjoy my job as a caregiver for a young girl with a brain injury; it is a very grounding job and I enjoy being part of her progress toward rehabilitation.
Q: What is your career ambition?
A: To be a successful international singer/songwriter and from there branch into other areas in the industry such as modeling and acting.
Q: Describe where you were raised and what your childhood was like.
A: I had a great childhood. I was born and raised in Christchurch, NZ. Christchurch is a small city with a population 'round 400,000 people. Christchurch is called the "Garden City" with many beautiful gardens, parks and historic buildings and the people here are great. It's a very safe place to be. I grew up with my twin sister, older sister, mom and dad. I remember my childhood as always fun and exciting; I traveled and went on holidays with my family. I took part in a lot of activities such as singing competitions, dancing, horseback riding, and sports. My sisters and I are extremely close and my mother is a truly amazing woman who worked 3 jobs when she raised us to make sure we never went without. My dad is very supportive.
Q: What do you want the judges to know about you?
A: What I would like the judges to know about me is that I feel extremely positive about having the qualities that make a successful Miss Universe. To me the key qualities include compassion, integrity, and humility. These qualities make me a great representative of my country, defining me as a true Kiwi girl enjoying New Zealand's diversity of opportunities that have enabled me to fulfill my ambitions as a career driven woman in the entertainment industry.
