Perhaps best known as Laura, the receptionist on Comedy Central's cult hit DR. KATZ, PROFESSIONAL THERAPIST, Laura will next be seen co-starring in her sister Sarah Silverman's stand-up comedy feature, JESUS IS MAGIC, which is slated for release by Interscope films later this year. Last pilot season, Silverman worked as a series regular in the UNTITLED KATZ/SNYDER animated sitcom pilot for Fox, also co-starring with Lisa Kudrow.

Television series she has appeared on include, a hilarious comedic turn in the critically acclaimed HBO series, CURB YOUR ENTHUSIASM. The ABC series, THE NORM SHOW, THE UPN animated series FAMILY GUY, the CBS pilot FROM WHERE I SIT, and the Comedy Central original film, WINDY CITY HEAT.

Silverman has also appeared in films, such as the Universal Feature, cult hit HALF BAKED, opposite Jim Brewer and Dave Chappelle. She also co-starred in David Mamet's STATE AND MAIN, with William H Macy and Phillip Seymour Hoffman.

As a comedic performer, she has appeared regularly over the last few years in popular Hollywood shows such as JEFF GARLIN'S COMBO PLATTER, and the Improv Olympics' ARMANDO SHOW. As a stand-up, Laura has been invited to perform at both the Aspen and Montreal comedy festivals, has worked regularly at the Improv, and taped the NCB stand-up show, LATE FRIDAY.

Laura has a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Tufts University, and has studied acting for seven years with renowned teacher Tony Greco.
