ET was first on the red carpet with Kiefer Sutherland today as he made a star appearance at Comic-Con to talk about his new big-screen thriller 'Mirrors.' We also chatted with him about season seven of "24," and Kiefer even took questions about his courageous 48 days in jail. In our all-new candid interview, Kiefer also reveals his fears. The man who plays the FBI agent who saves the world on TV every week admits scary movies are enough to terrify him. Chances are, he may have a hard time sitting through his new fright fest 'Mirrors,' in which he stars as a troubled ex-cop plagued by evil forces who use mirrors to get back to their homeland. Kiefer is even afraid of mirrors. "They freaked me out before [doing the movie]," he says. "I actually don't have very many mirrors. I actually have one mirror in the house and it's in my bathroom." 'Monsters vs. Aliens' invades theaters everywhere Friday — in 3-D at select theaters and IMAX -- and our own Kevin Frazier caught up with two of its stars, Kiefer Sutherland and Hugh Laurie, who found the animated movie process a refreshing detour from their well-known TV personas. "Playing a cockroach is a different tone, and it’s good fun to let rip," says "House" star Hugh. "There's a slight Vincent Price-ness to his character." Hugh plays Dr. Cockroach Ph.D., a mad scientist whose unfortunate experiments fused him with the giant head of a cockroach (just like 'The Fly'), while Kiefer plays General W.R. He’s saved the world from impending doom for seven seasons on Fox's hit show "24," and now Jack Bauer himself, Kiefer Sutherland, is opening up to ET about what exciting surprises fans can expect from the upcoming season. "One of the things that's exciting about season eight for us, which is different from all the other seasons is it's directly connected to the end of season seven," he says. " "Normally there's a year or two break between seasons, between story lines — and this year that is not the case." Brooke Shields is speaking out about the frenzy brought on by headbutting allegations made against fellow actor Kiefer Sutherland. "I’m always amazed when events, in any kind, become the most important news event when there are so many other things, really, to talk about," Brooke tells ET Thursday about the headline-grabbing news involving Kiefer. "The fact that [photographers are] camped outside my house — I can't quite justify it. They're following my daughter to school. These are things I can't quite reconcile in my brain." Brooke also tells ET that she was advised by her attorney not to comment on the headbutting allegations made against Kiefer by fashion designer Jack McCollough.
