Kari Matchett was born on March 25, 1970 in Calgary, Alberta and is a Canadian actress in TV and film. Matchett is widely known for her roles in the TV series shows Blue Murder (2004) and Power Play (1998-2000). She is also known for her former recurring role in A Nero Wolfe Mystery (2001-2002), as well as several guest appearances on Earth: Final Conflict.

Matchett has appeared on the ABC TV series, Invasion which premiered in the fall of 2005. The series is about aliens apparently taking the form of humans. One of Matchett's most notable film roles was in a movie about curling called Men with Brooms in 2002.

Kari studied at the National Theatre School in Montreal, Quebec and the Moscow Theatre School. She performed on stage for three years in Stratford.
