Kirk has been a competitive skater for almost 10 years. She opened the 2003-04 season by finishing fourth at the Campbell's Classic in New York City and won her first-ever silver medal in a Grand Prix competition at Smart Ones Skate America. She landed seven triples in her free skate at Skate America, including a triple-triple combination. She finished fifth at NHK Trophy and was the first alternate for the ISU Grand Prix Final. Most recently she participated in the Marshalls World Skating Challenge and the World Figure Skating Championships.
