Growing up in Wellesley MA with his two younger brothers Matthew and Adam, Jay was exposed to theater at an early age. Jay decided to pursue acting, and attended Syracuse University where he majored in drama. After finishing school he spent several years in NYC before heading out to LA in search of work in film and television. After landing small parts in various television shows and films, he scored the role of Theodore Blumenthal on Lifetime television's The Division. As Jay got more and more exposure on TV and began searching for broader horizons, he starred in a pilot for 20th Century Fox. The pilot didn't get optioned, but Jay was offered a contract and is set to star in NBC's new comedy Coupling.
