George Hamilton Biography


George Hamilton (born August 12, 1939 in Memphis, Tennessee) is an American film and television actor. He began his movie career in 1952. He has also directed several films. He was the son of bandleader George Hamilton.

Hamilton had his first starring role in Crime & Punishment, an updated version of the Dostoyevsky novel. He then appeared in a number of films, including Home From the Hill, Where the Boys Are, All the Fine Young Cannibals, By Love Possessed, A Thunder of Drums, The Light in the Piazza, The Victors, Act One, Your Cheating Heart, The Power, and You've Got to Be Kidding.

Hamilton took on the role of both star and executive producer of the biopic, Evel Knievel. He also appearred in The Man Who Loved Cat Dancing, Once Is Not Enough, Love at First Bite, Zorro, the Gay Blade, and The Godfather, Part III.
