Franky G was born Francisco Gonzalez in 1965 in Brooklyn, New York and is an American film and television actor of Puerto Rican descent.

Gonzalez, whose parents moved from Puerto Rico, is the middle child of 7 siblings. He studied criminal law investigation at Northeastern State University in Oklahoma. He later play semi-professional football as a running back for the Long Island Tomahawks. While competing as a body-builder, Gonalez entered the Mr. Metropolis and Mr. Queens competitions.

In addition to acting, Gonzalez also worked as a strip-club bouncer, security guard and construction worker.
