Emily Browning commenced her acting career at a very young age. She appeared in several productions for The Learning Co-op in Hurstbridge, Victoria, including Lady Macbeth in Macbeth. Her professional debut was in the role of Opal Ritchie in The Echo of Thunder, which starred Judy Davis. Other work includes the children's series Thunderstone; High Flyers and Forest of Dreams; Something in the Air for the ABC; the recurring guest role of Hayley Fulton in Blue Heelers for Channel 7; the guest lead of Christie in Halifax f.p. - Playing God and the miniseries After the Deluge, starring Rachel Griffiths and Hugo Weaving.
Emily's feature film work to date includes the role of Rebecca Myers in The Man Who Sued God starring Billy Connolly and Judy Davis; the role of young Caitlin in Revolution Studios' Don't Peek (aka The Tooth Fairy) starring Emma Caulfield; and the role of Grace Kelly in Ned Kelly, starring Heath Ledger.
