Dania Ramirez, a native of the Dominican Republic, began her career as a model before turning to acting. Dania's first film was The Subway Stories, produced by Spike Lee for HBO. Since then she has been tapped for several other Spike Lee projects, including 25 r Hour and She Hate Me." In the latter she plays the lead in a complicated love triangle involving a lesbian paralegal who wants to have a baby with her attorney girlfriend. Her other credits include the independent film Cross Bronx.
