A Taiwanese baseball pitcher, Chien-Ming Wang made his debut with the
New York Yankees in 2005. Winning 19 games in his second season in the league, Wang dominated batters with a power sinkerball that caused hitters to hit a large number of groundballs.
Chien-Ming Wang's turn in the rotation comes up Thursday and it remains unclear whom the Yankees will send to the mound that day in Minnesota. Triple-A righthander Sergio Mitre was considered the leading option for a spot start.
