Before the current incarnation of the Orioles franchise, there were two earlier Baltimore major league teams. In 1901 and 1902, the Baltimore Orioles existed before moving to New York to become the Yankees in 1903. In 1914 and 1915, the Baltimore Terrapins were a team in the Federal League.
