An Italian soccer club, A.S. Roma was founded in 1927. They are based in the city of Rome and they play in the Italian Serie A. They won the Italian top flight in 1941–42, 1982–83 and 2000–01 and won the Coppa Italia in 1963–64, 1968–69, 1979–80, 1980–81, 1983–84, 1985–86, 1990–91 and 2006–07. Their fiercest rivals are fellow Roman side SS Lazio.

Nov. 24 (Bloomberg) -- UniCredit SpA asked Compagnia Italpetroli SpA to sell soccer club AS Roma after the companies failed to agree on a plan to reorganize 330 million euros ($493 million) of debt owed to the lender, Milano Finanza reported, without saying where it got the information.
