Amy says as a self-professed news junkie and people person she has found her niche at 12 News. She began her career as a reporter/anchor in Kentucky. As an accomplished forecaster, Amy has predicted weather in some of the most weather volatile climates spanning from Denver to Cleveland to Miami. Some career highlights include being the youngest Chief Forecaster at the time in a top ten market during her tenure at WKYC-TV in Cleveland. While working in Miami, she had regular segments on a daily entertainment show, "Deco Drive". And in 2000, Amy served as the Florida Panthers' Show Host, entertaining 16,000 fans LIVE during every home NHL game.
Amy believes, "Everyone has an interesting story" and has enjoyed getting to know 12 News viewers and being active in the community. Amy has always been involved in children's' charities and organizations which support and protect animals. Amy served as the Honorary Chairperson in local chapters of the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation and has been active with the Multiple Sclerosis Society, American Cancer Society and Canine Companions for Independence.
Amy is excited to live close once again to family members who have made the Valley their home for many years. She loves to take advantage of the Arizona climate and terrain as she loves mountain biking, snow skiing, rollerblading, running and power yoga. Amy also loves to cook and spend time with friends and family.
