As one of the first Internet reporters in television news, Tatton has explored Internet angles to stories including the war in Iraq, the London subway bombings and the 2006 midterm elections. During CNN's award-winning coverage of Hurricane Katrina, Tatton used the Web to take viewers inside downtown New Orleans and across the Gulf Coast. In July 2006, Tatton became one of the first reporters to incorporate user-generated video and online images into coverage of the conflict between Israel and Hezbollah. She has also covered the emergence of blogs and Web video as a force in national political campaigns.
Since joining CNN's Washington, D.C., bureau in 2000, Tatton has worked as a producer on shows including Inside Politics, Crossfire and On the Story. As a political producer for the network, Tatton worked the 2004 campaign trail coordinating production for the CNN Election Express, the network's mobile newsroom. Tatton also helped produce network special events, including the 2005 presidential inauguration, several political debates and town meetings, coverage of the Sept. 11 attacks and the state funeral of former President Ronald Reagan.
